Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope
UVIT is one of the payloads of AstroSat, India's first multi-wavelength space observatory. AstroSat was launched on 28 September, 2015. UVIT is primarily an imaging instrument consisting of two 38 cm telescopes that simultaneously observes in FUV (130-180 nm), NUV (200-300 nm) and visible (320-550 nm) channels.
UVIT's characteristics are:
-
Large Field of View ~ 28' in diameter
-
Good spatial resolution < 1.5"
-
Multiple filters within FUV and NUV

Check out this paper for the UVIT calibration details.
